Shanta Gold Shares Up After It Receives USD1.4 Million VAT Refund

(Alliance News) - Shanta Gold Ltd on Monday said it has received a VAT refund of USD1.4 million in cash at its wholly-owned Tanzanian subsidiary.

The current VAT receivable balance has reduced to USD26.6 million as of October 31, the East Africa-focused gold producer said.

Shanta shares closed 1.8% higher in London on Monday at 8.50 pence each.
