Servelec Secures Up Framework Agreement For Drax Power Station

LONDON (Alliance News) - Software and services provider Servelec Group PLC on Wednesday said it has signed a new framework agreement with the Drax Power Station to handle automation and IT services.

The contract has been signed with Drax Power Ltd, a unit of FTSE 250-listed Drax Group PLC and the owner and operator of the Drax Power Station in Yorkshire.

The framework is effective from September 2015 and will run for five years. The work will be handled by Servelec's Controls division.

No financial details were provided.

"This new five-year framework agreement with Drax Power Station is a fantastic opportunity for Servelec Controls to further demonstrate its 35 year experience in this market. This is a new relationship and one which we value highly," said Servelec Chief Executive Alan Stubbs.

Shares in Servelec were up 0.6% to 320.00 pence on Wednesday morning.
