Sector movers: Mining stocks lead the slide

With UK equities still in the grip of a global slide amid concerns over the continuing turmoil in Greece, there are no sectors in the red.Industrial metals and mining, which is dependent on a healthy global economy, is the worst performer. Iron ore producer Ferrexpo and zinc and nickel group Talvivaara are among the notable fallers.The alternative energy sector is also lower. Catalytic Solutions is the worst performer in the sector. The emissions control systems manufacturer is in talks with its secured lender over extending the deadline, which expired on April 30, on its debt payment obligations after running into liquidity problems.
