LONDON (Alliance News) - Plastic packaging firm RPC Group PLC on Friday said that the deadline for a takeover offer to be made by Apollo Global Management LLC has been extended once again.
Apollo had until Friday to either announce a firm intention to make an offer for RPC or to announce that it does not intend to make an offer anymore.
However, RPC said the deadline has now been extended to next Wednesday as discussions between the two companies are at an "advanced stage".
RPC however, noted that "there can be no certainty that any offer will be made".
This is the fifth time the deadline for the offer is extended, as it was first set for October 8. It was then extended to November 5, December 3, December 21 and January 18.
RPC shares were trading up 0.9% at 722.59 pence on Friday afternoon.
