RHI Magnesita Appoints Ashdown And Paulus As Non-Executive Directors

LONDON (Alliance News) - RHI Magnesita NV said Wednesday Fiona Paulus and Janet Ashdown will be joining the company's board as independent non-executive directors.

Ashdown will chair the firm's corporate sustainability committee, which Paulus will join.

Ashdown previously worked for oil major BP PLC for over 30 years and is currently a non-executive director for the UK government's Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.

She also currently holds non-executive directorships with SIG PLC, Marshalls PLC and Victrex PLC.

Paulus was global head of energy & resources at ABN AMRO Bank NV from 2003 to 2008 and was then head of energy & resources for EMEA at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC from 2008 to 2010.

Chairman Herbet Cordt said: "I am delighted that Fiona and Janet will be joining the board of directors. They bring a broad range of banking, energy, international business and corporate sustainability experience to the board, which will be valuable to the group's further growth and development."

Cordt added: "These appointments demonstrate the board's commitment to further enhancing its composition both in terms of the skills and experience available as well as ensuring a balanced and diverse structure."

Shares in RHI Magnesita were up 0.4% Wednesday at 3,384.00 pence each.
