(Alliance News) - RedT Energy PLC on Monday said planning permission was granted for the 'Superhub' project in Oxford.
Energy storage company RedT is part of a consortium intending to deliver a GBP41 million grid-scale project in Oxford.
This project will include 5 megawatt hours of vanadium redox flow machines within a grid-connected 50 megawatt vanadium-lithium ion hybrid energy storage system.
RedT said planning permission has been granted for the Cowley substation site, where the Energy Superhub Oxford project is intended to be built.
Executive Chair Neil O'Brien said: "With planning approval now in place, we're looking forward to moving to the next phase on the Energy Superhub Oxford project alongside our consortium partners. This is the first UK grid-scale project for RedT and will be the largest deployment of vanadium redox flow technology in the UK to date."
Shares in RedT were down 1.6% at 0.94 pence on Monday morning.
