Pressure Technologies subsidiary found guilty over fatal accident

Wed, 27th Nov 2019 14:56

(Sharecast News) - Specialist engineering group Pressure Technologies updated the market on the verdict its subsidiary had received in court over a fatal health and safety matter on Wednesday.
The AIM-traded firm said the trial had started on 18 November, over the intended prosecution by the Health and Safety Executive following the fatal accident at its subsidiary Chesterfield Special Cylinders in June 2015.

It said on Wednesday that trial proceedings had concluded, and the jury delivered a guilty verdict under Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

"A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for 9 December, and the company expects that the penalty will be determined at that time," Pressure Technologies said in its statement.

At 1443 GMT, shares in Pressure Technologies were down 6.47% at 96.8p.
