Porta Communications In Final Day Of Trading; Merger Receives Approval

(Alliance News) - Porta Communications PLC on Monday said its shares will be suspended from AIM after a court sanctioned a GBP4.5 million all-share merger with Italian public relations firm SEC Spa.

The suspension will be effective on Tuesday, meaning that Monday was the last day of AIM trading of Porta's shares.

Following this, Porta will file an application to the London Stock Exchange for its shares to be cancelled from trading, this will be effective from Wednesday, the company said.

Shares in Porta closed untraded in London on Monday, last quoted at 0.45 pence each.
