Osirium wins contract with another ambulance service

Wed, 09th Dec 2020 09:38

(Sharecast News) - Cybersecurity technology company Osirium Technologies announced a contract win with another regional UK ambulance service on Wednesday.
The AIM-traded firm said the initial order was for the 'Osirium PAM' platform including the 'Privileged Access Management', 'Privileged Task Management' and 'Privileged Session Management' modules for 375 devices over a 36-month term.

It said the order continued its success in 2020 in securing business from the UK ambulance service sector in conjunction with healthcare cybersecurity reseller ITHealth.

The board said the primary initial driver for the client in the contract was demonstrating compliance with the NHS Data Protection Security Toolkit directive, to provide assurance of good data security practices and correct handling of personal information.

Osirium said the PAM platform would be used to carry out a number of functions across a mixed Windows and networking environment, including backups, controlling access, managing credentials, and providing an end-to-end audit trail.

The client was also looking to use Osirium's task and process automation capabilities, to delegate activities requiring privileges to staff outside the immediate project team, and reducing the workload strain on specialist IT resources.

Subsequent phases would also include secure management of third-party access to the infrastructure, as well as additional controls for internal access.

"I am delighted that Osirium has been able to secure another win in the NHS and emergency services sector and, yet again, displace an incumbent PAM supplier," said chief executive officer David Guyatt.

"This contract endorses multiple aspects of our strategy - our focus on simplicity and ease of deployment that other vendors fail to match, our partnership with quality specialist integrators, our commercial flexibility and agility in securing this order within a three month sales cycle, and our commitment to providing outstanding support to our customers."

At 1006 GMT, shares in Osirium Technologies were up 7.5% at 25.8p.
