(Alliance News) - OPG Power Ventures PLC on Wednesday said it is appointing Narayanan Kumar, vice chair of Indian conglomerate Sanmar Group, to its board.
OPG will appoint two new non-executive directors as Michael Grasby and Jeremy Beeton are both intending to step down, and one of these appointments is Kumar.
Kumar replaces Grasby, who leaves on November 25. Kumar is also a former president of the Confederation of Indian Industry.
The Indian power plant developer and operator has begun searching for Beeton's replacement, with him set to depart in March 2020.
Shares in OPG were up 3.8% at 15 pence in London at midday on Wednesday.
