Motiva Port Arthur TX refinery restarts gasoline unit -sources

HOUSTON, Feb 22 (Reuters) - Motiva Enterprises' 600,000 barrel per day (bpd) Port Arthur, Texas, refinery wasrestarting a gasoline-producing fluid catalytic cracking unit onFriday after a three-day shutdown for repairs, said sourcesfamiliar with operations at the refinery.

The restart began on Thursday night, the sources said. TheFCC was shut on Monday to repair a leak in a pipe to a storageunit.

Motiva is a 50-50 joint venture between Royal Dutch ShellPlc and Saudi Aramco. Motiva's Port Arthurplant has the largest crude oil refining capacity in the UnitedStates. (Reporting by Erwin Seba; Editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
