Metal Tiger Says Drilling Starts At Kalahari Copper Belt Project

Wed, 17th Feb 2016 08:18

LONDON (Alliance News) - Natural resources investment company Metal Tiger PLC on Wednesday said target drilling has started at the Kalahari Copper Belt project in Botswana.

Metal Tiger, which is working on the project with joint venture partner MOD Resources, said phase 1 drilling has started on the first prospect at the site, with further targets to then be drilled as the work progresses.

Surface sampling for the Mahumo region of the project has also progressed well, it said, and assay results are being awaited from infill sampling on two large copper anomalies at the T3 and T6 prospects.

"The scale and potential of the Kalahari Copper Belt are significant and we are particularly enthused by the numerous high priority targets that MOD have identified, certain of which are included in this initial drill programme," said Metal Tiger Chief Executive Paul Johnson.

Metal Tiger shares were down 3.3% to 0.87 pence early Wednesday.
