M&C Saatchi makes interim chair permanent

(Sharecast News) - M&C Saatchi has announced on Tuesday that Dame Heather Rabbatts has been appointed as non-executive chair on a permanent basis, effective immediately.

Rabbatts had been serving in the role on an interim basis since April.

The AIM-traded company also confirmed that Georgina Harvey would assume the role of senior independent director on a permanent basis.

"I am delighted and privileged to become chair of M&C Saatchi," said Dame Heather Rabbatts in a statement.

"I look forward to continuing to work closely with the board and management team on delivering strong sustainable returns for shareholders."

The board said it had launched a formal search process to appoint a new non-executive director, and would provide further updates in due course.

At 1227 BST, shares in M&C Saatchi were up 1.53% at 192.92p.
