Marston's Appoints Intu Properties CFO Roberts To Board

Tue, 13th Dec 2016 07:43

LONDON (Alliance News) - Pub company and brewer Marston's PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Matthew Roberts to the board as a non-executive director with effect from March 1.

Roberts is currently chief financial officer of FTSE 100-listed shopping centre developer Intu Properties PLC, prior to which he was CFO of gaming company Gala Coral Group Ltd which this year merged with rival Ladbrokes PLC.

Roberts was also previously finance director of department store chain Debenhams PLC.

"I am delighted to welcome Matthew to Marston's and to the board. His extensive property expertise and experience of a variety of high calibre, consumer-facing leisure and retail corporates will be highly relevant to Marston's as we progress the continued development of our own business in pub-retailing and brewing," Chairman Roger Devlin said in a statement.
