LONDON (Alliance News) - Victoria PLC on Wednesday said Non-Executive Director Alexander Anton is retiring after 32 years.
Shares in Victoria were down 3.9% at 466.00 pence on Wednesday afternoon.
Victoria, which designs, makes, and distributes floor coverings, said Anton will depart at the end of Wednesday's board meeting "to focus on his other business interests".
Victoria Executive Chair Geoff Wilding said: "Alexander has given many years of valued service to Victoria but he has become increasingly busy with other business commitments. Following the recent successful [initial public offering] of Summerway Capital PLC, where Alexander is executive chair and a significant shareholder, he felt it was the right time to step down. On behalf of the shareholders and myself I would like to express our sincere gratitude for all his work and steadfast support".
