IP Group appoints new Chief Operating Officer

IP Group, the university spin-out developer, has appointed a new Chief Operating Officer.David Baynes, who was previously Chief Executive Officer of Fusion IP, which IP Group acquired last month, has been appointed to the role and will aid the process of integrating the firm into the wider group. Baynes said he was "delighted" to be taking on the role "at such an exciting time in the development of IP Group". Meanwhile, the company also revealed that Charles Winward, the Managing Director of Top Technology, the group's wholly owned fund management and advisory subsidiary, has decided to step down from the board to "pursue other opportunities". "After eight years at IP Group, I have reached a point where I am ready for a completely new challenge," Winward said. NR Ip Group
