INTERVIEW: International Greetings Not Ruling Out FY11 Div

Wed, 14th Jul 2010 13:49

By Hannah Benjamin Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES LONDON (Dow Jones)--Gift wrap and cards maker International Greetings PLC (IGR.LN) Wednesday said it isn't ruling out introducing its first dividend payment at the end of the current fiscal year. Analysts expect the firm, which swung to a small full-year profit in the year to March 31, to begin paying a dividend in fiscal 2012. But Finance Director Sheryl Tye told Dow Jones Newswires that a payment at the end of fiscal 2011 "is not beyond the realms of possibility" should the company enjoy strong profit growth this year. "It's something we will consider, although analysts are forecasting the first payment at the end of fiscal 2012. But we will have a look at it at the end of fiscal 2011," she said. -By Hannah Benjamin, Dow Jones Newswires; 44-20-7842-9298; hannah.benjamin@dowjones.com (END) Dow Jones Newswires July 14, 2010 08:49 ET (12:49 GMT)
