Tue, 15th Nov 2016 07:32

LONDON (Alliance News) - Testing, inspection and certification services company Intertek Group PLC on Tuesday said it has created a joint venture with Mexico's Laboratorios ABC Quimica Investigacion y Analisis SA de CV for an environmental services business.

ABC Analytic is a water testing services provider in Mexico, and the pair will work together on providing environmental services in the Mexican market, including soil testing and analysis.

No financial details on the collaboration were disclosed.

"The formation of the joint venture with ABC Analitic will expand Intertek's presence in Mexico's attractive and fast growing environmental testing market," said Intertek Chief Executive Andre Lacroix.

"By joining forces, we will be able to offer our customers an industry-leading portfolio of testing and assurance services and be uniquely positioned to take advantage of Mexico's strong macroeconomic environment, increasing environmental regulation, as well as the country's particular focus on water quality," he added.
