IQE PLC - the semiconductor wafer products manufacturer- welcomed the UK government's approval of a GBP43.7 million project with South Wales' compound semiconductor cluster. The programme is a multi-year project that aims to strengthen the South Wales' cluster on the world stage. The initiative is one of seven chosen to be supported by the UK government as part of a broader GBP400 million investment programme.
