IN BRIEF: UK CMA Clears Mitie Group Acquisition Of Interserve Division

Mitie Group PLC - London-based outsourcing and energy services firm - UK Competition & Markets Authority says it will not refer Mitie's acquisition of rival Interserve's facilities management division to an in-depth Phase 2 investigation.

In June, Mitie had said it would buy the Interserve operation for GBP271 million in cash and shares, but reduced the purchase price to GBP190 million earlier this month. The CMA probe was announced in September.

Current stock price: 36.70 pence

Year-to-date change: down 51%
