Pires Investments PLC - invests in companies that have the potential for major transformation and exponential growth - Buys 1.5 million shares in early stage software company investor Sure Ventures PLC at 130 pence each, with the total GBP2.0 million consideration to be satisfied through the issue of 14.4 million shares. The purchase will give Pires a 28% stake in Sure Ventures. Sure Ventures has a 26% interest in Sure Valley Ventures, a technology-focused venture capital fund in which Pires has a 13% stake.

Year-to-date change: up sharply from 6.25p
Sure Ventures current stock price: 115.00 pence, up 15% on Friday
Year-to-date change: up 24%
