Metals Exploration PLC - natural resources firm with assets in Pacific Rim - Pretax loss in six months to June 30 narrows year-on-year to USD1.3 million from USD8.3 million. Revenue up 31% to USD52.9 million from USD40.3 million a year earlier. Gold sold up to 32,121 ounces from 30,870 ounces in year prior, with sales price rising to USD1,647 an ounce from USD1,305.

Current stock price: 2.63, up 23% on Friday

Year-to-date change: up more than double from 1.23p
