Iberia will be able to operate in EU airspace post-Brexit, Spanish PM says

Fri, 11th Dec 2020 11:35

BRUSSELS, Dec 11 (Reuters) - Iberia should not have any
problems operating in the European Union's airspace after
Brexit, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez told a news
conference after an EU summit in Brussels.

IAG which owns British Airways, Iberia and Aer
Lingus, is a Spanish-registered company headquartered in
Britain.

"On air transport we've been working for some time, since at
least 2018, as the government, with IAG and with the (European)
commission to find a solution to this problem. And in principle
it's fixed," Sanchez said. "There won't be a problem with Iberia
operating in European airspace after the United Kingdom's exit
from the union."

He did not give any details.
