(Alliance News) - Model railway maker Hornby PLC on Wednesday said performance has been ahead year-on-year in recent months ahead of the key Christmas period.
Between the start of April and the end of August, Hornby's sales and margins have been ahead of the year before period, and have been in line with expectations.
"As is usually the case in our industry, the outcome for the full year is subject to the sales rate over the key Christmas trading period," said Hornby, which is holding its annual general meeting on Wednesday.
"Timing is everything when it comes to Christmas and we are mindful of the potential supply disruption at the ports if/when we leave the EU. We started our Brexit preparations last year and we will do all we can to ensure our customers get what they want; on time and in full."
Shares were 1.9% lower on Wednesday morning in London at 26.50 pence each.
