FTSE 100 movers: Experian declines on Goldman Sachs's advice

Shares of Experian fell to the bottom of the pile after Goldman Sachs recommended shifting the stock. The broker reduced its rating on the stock to "sell" from "neutral". Kingfisher also fell after the DIY retailer's third-quarter results coming in well below forecasts on Thursday. The B&Q and Screwfix owner said that group sales in the 13 weeks ended November 2nd were up 8% at £2,921m, with like-for-like (LFL) sales up 1.4%. Meanwhile, retail profit rose 5.8% to £271m. SSE was also in the red; the Scottish Natural Heritage has reiterated its concerns about the company's plans for a 47-turbine wind farm in Sutherland, saying it was affect birdlife in the region. It went to so far as to say the project was "one of the most worrying it has ever seen". Meanwhile, mining stocks were making gains as metal prices climbed across the board with increases seen in gold, silver, copper and platinum. Antofagasta and Fresnillo were trading higher as comments on top metals consumer China from S&P also lifted sentiment. The agency reiterated its 'AA-' long-term and 'A-1+' short-term sovereign credit ratings on China with a 'stable' outlook, citing robust growth prospects.Even Rio Tinto was higher despite revealing it plans to temporarily suspend alumina production at its Gove refinery in Australia as it is 'no longer viable' in the current economic environment. Pearson shares rose on news it has agreed to dispose of The Mergermarket Group, a global corporate financial news and analysis provider, with the transaction expected to complete in the first quarter of next year. The firm is being sold for £382m in cash. WPP climbed after its advertising network POSSIBLE Worldwide acquired Media Republic Development, a digital marketing firm in the Netherlands.
