(Alliance News) - FastForward Innovations Ltd said Tuesday its chief executive has been appointed as non-executive chair of investee Emmac Life Sciences Ltd.
FastForward holds a 2.3% stake in Emmac, a cannabis firm.
Lorne Abony is the former CEO of Nuuvera Corp, a Canadian cannabis company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, which was acquired by Aphria in March 2018. Abony is also chair of Socati Corp, which produces broad-spectrum hemp extract.
Abony said: "I am excited to be joining Emmac as chair during this important phase of its growth. I look forward to working closely with our experienced management and research teams to firmly establish Emmac as Europe's leading cannabis company."
Shares in FastForward Innovations were 0.1% higher in London on Tuesday at 7.26 pence each.
