LONDON (Alliance News) - Mobile financial services company eServGlobal Ltd on Thursday said it has secured a project to supply an end-to-end mobile money platform for Cape Verde-based financial institution GMT Cabo Verde.
The service will launch in 2015 and will allow users to carry out domestic and international money transfers. It will be the first mobile money service offered in the country.
No financial details were provided on the deal.
"This type of government-supported training program is an example of innovation and forward-looking mobile money practices. We are thrilled to be part of this pioneering experience and are looking forward to the successful launch and growth of mobile money in Cape Verde," said Stephen Blundell, Chief Operating Officer of eServGlobal.
Shares in eServGlobal were down 2% to 24.00 pence on Thursday morning.
