Electra Private Equity Picks Chairman From Synthomer, E2V Technologies

LONDON (Alliance News) - Investment trust Electra Private Equity PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Neil Johnson as non-executive chairman with effect from May 12.

Following this, current chairman Kate Barker will resume her role as senior independent director. Barker has been chairman since November.

Johnson is currently non-executive chairman of chemicals business Synthomer PLC and technology systems manufacturer e2v Technologies PLC. He was also a non-executive director at model railway maker Hornby PLC from 1998 to 2013.

"This appointment follows a rigorous selection process and we are delighted to appoint Neil Johnson as chairman of Electra. He has extensive experience in managing and chairing a range of listed and private companies which will be of great value as the board carries out its review of investment policy and structure," Barker said in a statement.
