Chief Executive Officer Mathios Rigas and Non-Executive Director Efstathios Topouzoglou each buy 29,501 shares at GBP3.25 and GBP3.59 on Thursday last week. Rigas and Topouzoglou buy another 40,000 shares each at GBP3.61 on Friday. Chief Financial Panos Benos buys 14,077 shares at GBP3.59 and GBP3.25 on Friday. Benos buys 20,000 shares at GBP3.61 on Friday.

Pearson PLC - Chair Sidney Taurel buys 100,000 American Depositary Receipts at USD5.38, worth USD537,930, on Monday. Each ADR is equal to one ordinary share. Pearson on Monday paused its share buyback amid uncertainty in the group's businesses that rely on learners and staff accessing physical sites, due to virus lockdowns. To date, GBP167 million of Pearson's GBP350 million share buyback programme has been completed.

IHG on Friday said demand in its Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza chains is at the lowest it has ever seen, due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
