Devro hires former De La Rue FD

Devro, famous for its sausage skins, has named Simon Webb as its new finance director, seven months after he left banknote printer De La Rue "to seek a new challenge".Webb joins Devro, which makes a range of collagen products for the food industry, on 7 April, more than a year since his departure from De La Rue.He replaces Peter Williams who announced last month that he would retire on 6 April. Webb, 46, takes a seat on the board on 17 January to allow time for an orderly handover."Simon Webb brings to Devro valuable experience of managing the finance function within an international manufacturing business," chairman Steve Hannam said."I am very confident that he will make a significant contribution to the group as we build on the considerable success of the past three years."
