Corero secures five new orders worth $1.5m

Thu, 18th Jun 2020 12:05
(Sharecast News) - Corero Network Security announced five new headline customer wins for its 'SmartWall' distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection products in the last two months on Thursday, including two new contract wins through its partner Juniper, totaling more than $1.5m (£1.2m) over the course of the contracts.
The AIM-traded firm said the new customers included an unnamed major United States telecoms and internet service provider.

It said that order was for multiple 'SmartWall TDS 100Gbps' solutions, with supporting 'SecureWatch' services for three years, sold by Corero through a US partner.

The second customer is a Europe-based communication and cloud solutions provider, with the three-year DDoS protection-as-a-service (DDPaaS) order for multiple SmartWall TDS 10Gbps solutions, with supporting SecureWatch services.

A major provider of hosting services in Canada was the third customer, with the order for multiple SmartWall TDS 100Gbps solutions with supporting SecureWatch services for three years, sold by Corero through a partner.

The fourth was a wholesale telecoms provider operating across Latin America, which ordered a three-year SmartWall TDD solution, sold through Corero's partnership with Juniper.

Finally, the fifth customer was a UK-based provider of internet, mobile and telephony services to a number of UK island and overseas territory jurisdictions.

The firm said the order was for multiple SmartWall TDS 10Gbps solutions with supporting SecureWatch services for five years, sold by a Corero channel partner, and a five-year SmartWall TDD solution sold through its partner Juniper.

Corero said the deployment of the solutions would enable the customers to provide DDoS-protected services to their end users.

"These customer wins demonstrate continued market demand for our SmartWall TDS and TDD solutions to protect against the growing frequency of DDoS attacks," said chief executive officer Ashley Stephenson.

"We are encouraged by an increasing level of partner success that is reflected in strong pipeline growth for the remainder of 2020."
