Concurrent Technologies And Eizo Rugged Solutions Manufacture VPX

LONDON (Alliance News) - Concurrent Technologies PLC on Tuesday it has produced computational solution VPX in collaboration with Eizo Rugged Solutions Inc.

The new product consists of Eizo's general-purpose graphics processing unit and Concurrent's central processing unit board. The electronics manufacturer said that new engine is particularly suitable for image or geological analysis and can even be used for crypto currency mining.

Concurrent Technologies Chief Executive Officer Glen Fawcett said: "By matching our experience in designing best in class Intel processor based boards with Eizo Rugged Solutions' long standing GPGPU capabilities, we can provide an innovative solution for high computational performance within a very small space envelope."

Eizo Rugged Solutions Chief Executive Officer Selwyn Henriques said: "Responsiveness has been the key to our success and this combined product was conceived to meet customer needs for better GPGPU capability with the addition of a CPU management engine all within a single slot."

Shares in Concurrent Technologies were trading 3.2% higher at 78.40 pence per share on Tuesday.
