(Alliance News) - Blackbird PLC said Wednesday it has signed a multi-year deal with Bloomberg Media Group for fast turnaround news editing and social publishing.
Blackbird shares were up 31% in London at 16.69 pence each on Wednesday.
Video editing platform Blackbird said annual revenue from the deal will be "significant" for the company.
Blackbird's platform, specifically developed for the cloud, allows content makers to rapidly view, edit and publish their video news to social and online platforms.
The company said Bloomberg Media, part of financial data firm Bloomberg LP, will utilize Blackbird platform for simple, fast, collaborative video editing and publishing from the cloud.
Back in October Blackbird won US Department of State video production contract. The contract, which is for one year but has a multi-year extension available, is for a "six-figure US dollar amount each year", the company said.
