BBGI Global Infrastructure upsizes placing to raise GBP75 million

Thu, 15th Jul 2021 09:17

(Alliance News) - BBGI Global Infrastructure SA on Thursday said it raised GBP75 million in a placing, upping the size of the fundraise due to investor demand.

The infrastructure investor had last week Wednesday set out plans to raise GBP50 million.

"Taking into account the significant investor demand for this placing, and the company's existing drawings under its revolving credit facility, the directors have determined to increase the size of the placing to approximately GBP75 million," BBGI said on Thursday.

It now will issue 45.2 million shares at 166 pence each.

BBGI shares were 0.8% higher at 173.00p each in London on Thursday morning, 4.2% above the placing price. The company has a market capitalisation about GBP1.14 billion.

BBGI last week Wednesday announced three UK social infrastructure investments.

It will buy 16 community fire stations the north west of England, the Ayrshire and Arran Hospital, an acute mental health facility in Ayr, Scotland, and also a 33% stake in a roadway in Aberdeen, also in Scotland.
