Aston Martin and Marshall Motor director Richard Parry-Jones dies

Mon, 19th Apr 2021 10:25

(Alliance News) - Car maker Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings PLC and auto dealer Marshall Motor Holdings PLC on Monday noted the death of Richard Parry-Jones in an accident on Friday near his home in Wales.

Parry-Jones had been chair of Marshall Motor since 2019 and joined the board of Aston Martin as a non-executive director back in February.

Parry-Jones is a former vice president of Ford Motor Co, responsible for product development worldwide, and also on the board of UK engineering firm GKN, which had an automotive division.

On Friday, North Wales Police said a 69-year-old man died in an accident involving a tractor on private land in Barmouth but it did not identify him, the BBC reported.

Aston Martin shares were down 2.0% at 2,021.00 pence Monday morning in London, while Marshall Motor was up 2.0% at 179.00p.
