Assura Reports Continued Strong Performance In Third Quarter

Mon, 13th Jan 2020 08:38

(Alliance News) - Healthcare property specialist Assura PLC on Monday said it has continued to make strong progress in the third quarter to the end of December, with the acquisition of six high-quality assets and completion of third development of financial 2020 in Stow-on-the-Wold, UK.

The Warrington, Cheshire-based firm also said that it has a strong pipeline of opportunities worth GBP252 million including 13 developments on site.

Assura completed five lease renegotiations in the third quarter, taking cumulative year-to-date lease renegotiations to 18. Annualised rent roll at period ended totalled GBP105.8 million including acquisitions, disposals and rent reviews.

"With the new government enshrining in law increased funding for the National Health Service and taking forward the Health Infrastructure Plan, better primary care facilities for patients, staff and services are at the heart of the agenda. In this context, Assura is well positioned to deliver high-quality assets and value for money for the NHS," said Chief Executive Jonathan Murphy.

As December-end, Assura's gross debt stood at GBP787 million, with undrawn facilities of GBP280 million.

Shares in Assura were up 0.7% at 75.95 pence each in London on Monday morning.
