Angus Energy submits planning application for pipeline extension

Thu, 04th Jun 2020 13:56

(Sharecast News) - Angus Energy submitted its application to Lincolnshire County Council for the 750 metre extension of the pipeline to the National Grid Terminal, it announced on Thursday, remaining "very close" to its advised timetable.
The AIM-traded firm said the application still incorporated the use of hydrogen-ready high pressure pipework, with the routeing of the line retaining its optionality to connect, via a further third-party pipeline, to the refineries on the Humber should the opportunity present itself.

"Progress continues despite the peculiar challenges presented by social distancing requirements," said managing director George Lucan.

"Whilst we await review and determination of this and our earlier planning application for the upgrade of the main site, immediate elements on our critical path in the next six weeks will be the first year's take-off contract and bid selection on key gas processing equipment.

"All the while detailed design continues apace on both pipeline and process facilities."

At 1213 BST, shares in Angus Energy were down 10.36% at 0.99p.
