AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: UK Oil & Gas "delighted" by appeal court ruling

Fri, 18th Feb 2022 10:45

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Friday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

UK Oil & Gas PLC, up 29% at 0.1485 pence, 12-month range 0.09p-0.48p. Is "delighted" to report that "long-running appeal by Finch et al" to overturn the December 2020 judicial review judgment upholding the legality of Horse Hill's planning consent has been refused by the court of appeal. As such, this confirms that Horse Hill can remain operational until the end of its commercial field life. UKOG holds 85.6% operated interest in Horse Hill and surrounding PEDL137 licence. Alba notes the announcement, and shares dip 0.8% to 0.243p but traded as high as 0.27p earlier on Friday.

----------

Northbridge Industrial Services PLC, up 8.4% at 174.00p, 12-month change 92.08p-185p. The industrial services and rental company is confident pre-exceptional pretax profit will be in line with management expectations for 2021. Revenue for year expected to rise to GBP38.8 million from GBP34.0 million in 2020. "In 2022, for the fourth year in a row, the factory order book for the outright sale of loadbanks started the year at a record level and the secured Crestchic hire revenue is well ahead of this point last year with good visibility already into the second quarter," firm adds.

----------

Advanced Medical Solutions Group PLC, up 2.4% at 294.50p, 12-month change 218.5p-347p. HSBC initiates the Winsford-based surgical dressings firm with Buy rating.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

CVS Group PLC, down 9.8% at 1,694.00p, 12-month range 1,635p-2,835p. Says UK competition regulator has decided that its takeover of Quality Pet Care may have reduced competition in five locations. Notes the UK Competition & Markets Authority thinks the deal "may have resulted in a substantial lessening of competition" in Bristol, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Southampton and Warrington after completing a phase one investigation into the takeover. CVS, while disappointed, says that it has "good grounds" to believe that the decision would be overturned should the company commit to a phase two investigation.
