Aura Energy Ltd, up 16% at 14.45 pence, 12-month range 3.19p-14.50p. Aura hits this 12-month high on Thursday. Uranium prices have surged to USD40.25 per pound, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday, the highest level since 2014. Investment firm Sprott Inc, which has recently launched uranium investment fund, has bought large stocks of the commodity, according to Bloomberg. Minerals company Aura is focused on the Tiris uranium project in Mauritania.

Hardide PLC, up 8.0% at 30.25 pence, 12-month range 19.00p-44.00p. The advanced surface coating technology wins a GBP200,000 deal with a major European manufacturer of steam and gas turbines. The customer places a first production order for the Hardide-A coating on gas turbine compressor blades.

TomCo Energy PLC, down 9.5% at 0.54 pence, 12-month range 0.38p-0.92p. The oil project development firm, focused on using new technology to unlock unconventional hydrocarbon resources, gives up some of Wednesday's 18% gains. It had reported promising progress from its Greenfield asset.
