AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Live Co up on strong ticket sales for Formula E

Fri, 24th Feb 2023 11:00

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Friday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

Live Co Group PLC, up 9.8% at 2.58 pence, 12-month range 1.75p-13p. The live events, entertainment and sports events company says 21,000 tickets for a Formula E race have been sold. The race is due to take place in Cape Town this weekend. Chair David Ciclitira says: "I am delighted that the tickets for this inaugural race have sold out and look forward to the race in this iconic city of Cape Town this weekend."

----------

Star Phoenix PLC, up 6.0% at 2.3 pence, 12-month range 0.3p-2.6p. Shares in the oil and gas company focused on Trinidad and Indonesia round off an eventful week on a high note, after the company was restored to trading on AIM on Wednesday. This had followed the publishing of its delayed annual results for its year to June, which it released on Tuesday. The stock is up sharply from 0.4p in January before the suspension.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

ECR Minerals PLC, down 8.3% at 0.67p, 12-month range 0.56p-17p. The Australia-focused gold explorer finds 17.77 grams of gold per tonne at Blue Moon prospect, Bailieston in Victoria, Australia. The best results came from hole BBMDD010, which ECR had expected. Highlights that it found 4.56 grammes of gold per the tonne in the hole from 84.9 metres down. "We have for the most part seen continuity of grades across results from the holes announced today," says Chief Executive Officer Andrew Haythorpe. Finds 0.25 grammes of gold per tonne in hole BBMDD009 and 0.72 grammes of gold per tonne in hole BBMDD011.

----------

Webis Holding PLC, down 3.5% at 2.08p, 12-month range 1.04p-3.55p. The Isle of Man-based gaming firm posts a pretax loss of USD325,000 in the six months ended November 30, widening from a pretax loss of USD70,000 in 2021. The company says revenue for the period was USD6.2 million, down 8.8% from USD6.8 million a year ago. Webis notes that "unprecedented severe weather conditions" in California during the winter led to a lack of content due to the cancellation of seven race meetings. Conditions have improved, and that it expects strong trading until the end-of-season in late April, Webis says.
