(ShareCast News) - Vodafone said it is launching its M-Pesa money transfer service in Ghana under the name 'Vodafone Cash'.The service allows people to transfer cash using a mobile phone. Vodafone said 64% of people in Ghana, or 15m people, do not have a bank account.Vodafone said M-Pesa had continued to see strong, accelerated growth in East Africa during 2015, most notably in Kenya and Tanzania."Worldwide M-Pesa usage has increased 27% year-on-year to reach 23.4m active customers across Vodafone Group by 30 September 2015," the company said in a statement..It added that more than 2bn individual transactions were carried out in the six months to September 2015, up 26% compared to the same period last year.
