Home Retail is the top faller after a disappointing trading statement. Its demotion from Footsie was announced last night, although property investor SEGRO, which will also be demoted, has risen. Supermarkets group Morrisons posted profits broadly in line with expectations for the six months to August. It also unveiled a move into the convenience store market but its shares have fallen back. Vodafone drops on worries about its potential Indian tax liability.
