Universe Group Signs Agreement With NetPay Merchant Services

Wed, 07th Mar 2018 13:52

LONDON (Alliance News) - Payment processing services provider Universe Group PLC said on Wednesday it has signed an agreement with payment services provider NetPay Merchant Services Ltd to offer acquiring and on-boarding services to Universe's retail clients.

Through the agreement, Universe will be able to offer clients competitive transaction processing rates through NetPay's First Data merchant application, and access to further real-time payment related analytics.

The first clients are expected to be on-boarded in May.

"This agreement complements and broadens our existing payment services, allowing us to be the single payment counterparty for our retailers. We have been impressed with NetPay's platform which ensures quick and easy on-boarding and access to competitive payment processing fee rates, which are vital to our retailers and are important extensions to our other payment, EPOS and loyalty offerings," said Chief Executive Jeremy Lewis.

Shares in Universe Group were up 2.3% at 6.26 pence on Wednesday.
