TRADING UPDATES: Capita wins contract extension; RM notes challenges

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Capita PLC - London-based outsourcing services - Secures a two-year GBP50.6 million contract extension with Northern Ireland's Education Authority to deliver IT infrastructure and services for all of Northern Ireland's schools. This includes delivering local area networks, cloud services and service desk support. Capita says the extension builds on a 10-year relationship with the education authority.

Augmentum Fintech PLC - investment company focussing on the financial technology sector - Notes that its investeee Grover, a Berlin-based consumer-technology subscription platform, has raised USD330 million in equity and debt funding. Augmentum says the new round values its stake in Grover at GBP42.7 million, up from GBP18.6 million at September 30. Adds the the implied valuation would represent an increase of 16.6 pence over the last published net asset value per ordinary share at September 30 of 147.7p.

RM PLC - Abingdon, England-based provider of technology and resources to education sector - Says first quarter of 2022 has provided a "challenging backdrop" as a result of inflation and supply chain issues. Nonetheless, the company's full-year outlook remains unchanged. Net debt at March 31 is GBP39 million, up from GBP10 million at the same time the previous year.

Caspian Sunrise PLC - Oxfordshire, England-based mining royalty company - Notes impact at well 142 as a results of civil unrest which began at the start of the year and impacted operational activity in January. Says it has not experienced any issues in transporting its oil as a result of Russian sanctions. Production at the MJF structure continues to grow, Caspian continues, with production at the end of March being approximately 2,142 barrels of oil per day. Targets to increase production to nearer 3,500 barrels of oil per day.

Lekoil Ltd - Guernsey-based tin mining company focused on Nambia - Receives a winding up petition from Olalekan Akinyanmi regarding alleged "oppressive conduct" by the company, its directors and shareholders "seeking to engineer a takeover" and being in breach of financing and management agreements. Says it is taking legal advice to defend the claim.

Supermarket Income REIT PLC - real estate investment trust dedicated to investing in supermarket property - Set to raise GBP175 million through a placing at an issue price of 121 pence per share. Additionally, announces a conditional offer for subscription through the PrimaryBid platform of shares at a price of 121 pence each. Company says this represents a 4.3% discount to the close price of 126.5p on Wednesday. Will use the funds to make additional investments, Supermarket Income explains.

Burford Capital Ltd - London-based asset management firm - Announces a private offering of USD360 million of 6.9% senior notes due in 2030 by its wholly owned subsidiary Burford Capital Global Finance LLC. The offering is expected to close on April 11. Says it will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including the potential repayment of debt.

ULS Technology PLC - Oxfordshire, England-based online platforms for conveyancing and financial intermediary markets - Changes its name to Smoove PLC. Company says rebranding amplifies its strategy to "simplify and revolutionise" the home moving ownership process. Its eConveyancer brand will remain, while its DigitalMove brand will be integrated into the wider eConveyancer and Smoove propositions.

Chapel Down Group PLC - Kent, England-based wine maker- Wins new partnership with the England & Wales Cricket Board as its official sparkling down. Company says it is the first time the England & Wales Cricket Board have partnered with an English sparkling wine brand, with previous partnerships being with champagne.

All Things Considered Group PLC - London-based music firm providing talent management, live booking and livestreaming - Expects 2021 results to be in line with expectations. Anticipates revenue and other operating income of GBP9.9 million, up 23% from GBP8.0 million in 2020. Expects an adjusted loss before tax and non-controlling interests of GBP2.8 million, widening from a loss of GBP400,000 the previous year. Says current trading outlook remains positive.

Maintel Holdings PLC - London-based cloud and managed service specialist - Appoints Gabriel Pirona as chief financial officer from May 2. Prior to joining Maintel, Pirona was CFO at Agilisys, a London-based IT software and business services provider.

PetroTal Corp - Calgary, Canada-based oil and gas company focused on Peru - Notes the Peruvian government has reached an agreement with a protest group which has been PetroTal's loading dock. The group has now lifted the blockade near the company's loading dock. Says its oil barge was ready to arrive within hours of the dock reopening. Adds first priority is to unload 90,000 barrels of crude oil before ramping production back up over a five to seven day period. PetroTal produced over 1 million barrels of oil in the first quarter of 2022 despite, the company notes, being significantly constrained for most of March.
