(Alliance News) - Utilico Emerging Markets Trust PLC on Monday said its yearly profit declined, and its net asset value fell slightly.
The Surrey-based investment trust said its net asset value at March 31 was 250.91 pence, down 1.3% from 254.22 pence a year prior. The NAV total return was 2.1%, compared to 15% the year before, outperforming the MSCI EM index, while fell 5.0%.
Pretax profit slumped 90% to GBP7.2 million, from GBP74.4 million.
Utilico declared a total dividend for financial 2023 of 8.45 pence per share, up 5.6% from 8.00p the year before.
Shares in Utilico were down 0.9% at 222.83 pence each in London on Monday morning.
