Trident Royalties PLC - London-based mining royalty and streaming company - Says construction remains on track to start at Thacker Pass Lithium project in Nevada this year, with all permits in place, operated by Lithium Americas Corp. "An appeal of the Federal Record of Decision is ongoing with briefings scheduled to end on August 11; oral arguments and a final decision are expected to follow shortly thereafter," it notes. Trident says the project feasibility study is also expected to be delivered in the second half of the year, targeting a total production capacity of 40,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate per year, with a second stage expansion targeting total production capacity of 80,000 tonnes per year.
Trident holds a 60% interest in a gross revenue royalty over the entirety of the project.
