DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Spire Healthcare Non-Exec Buys First Shares

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Monday.

Spire Healthcare Group said that Simon Rowlands, a non-executive director, bought 214,516 shares in the company at an average price of 306.47p each. The GBP657,427 in purchases, which were made over Thursday and Friday last week, mean that Rowlands now owns 0.05% of the company. Rowlands, who has been in his role since June 2014, did not own shares in Spire Healthcare prior to last week's purchases. Shares in Spire Healthcare closed up 2.6% at 313.00p on Monday.

Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate said Mary Ricks, chief executive of Kennedy Wilson Europe, bought 20,000 shares in the company at GBP11.75 each on Friday. Following the transaction, Ricks holds 120,916 shares, representing 0.1% of the company's issued share capital. Ricks also had purchased 20,000 shares in late August. Shares in Kennedy Wilson closed up 0.3% at 1,175.00p Monday.

Inmarsat said Robert Kehler, a non-executive director, bought 1,000 shares at 1,022 pence each. Kehler, who retired from the Air Force in January 2014 with over 38 years of service, joined the Inmarsat board in May 2014. Monday's purchase is the former general's entire shareholding in the satellite company. Shares in Inmarsat closed up 1.7% at 1,040.00p Monday.

Stride Gaming said Chairman Nigel Payne bought 5,000 shares in the online gaming operator at 265.00 pence each, giving the non-executive director his first stake in the company. Monday's purchase represents Payne's entire shareholding in Stride Gaming, equivalent to about 0.01% of the company. Stride Gaming listed on AIM, the London Stock Exchange's junior market, on May 19, when GBP11.2 million was raised to give the bingo-focused company a value of GBP66.2 million by market capitalisation. Payne was appointed to the board on May 8. Shares in Stride Gaming ended down 1.9% at 265.00p on Monday, well ahead of the 132p price of the company's initial public offering.

Oil services company Getech Group said Non-Executive Director Peter Stephens and his wife, Veronica, bought more shares in the company on Friday. Peter bought 9,000 shares, while Veronica bought 6,000, both at 37.00 pence per share. The shares come in addition to those the pair bought on Thursday, when they snapped up the same number each as they did on Friday for 36.00p per share. Peter Stephens now has an interest in 1.1 million Getech shares, or a 3.3% stake in the company. Shares in Getech closed down 1.5% to 35.97p on Monday.

Investment manager Rathbone Brothers said Head of Investment Management Paul Chavasse sold shares in the company on Monday. Chavasse sold 2,699 shares for 2,248.00 pence per share, leaving him with 99,178 shares in the company. Shares in Rathbone closed flat at 2,236.00p Monday.

President Energy said Chairman Peter Levine bought shares in the company on Friday. Levine purchased 306,649 shares at 6.47 pence per share, increasing his total stake to 117.6 million shares, or 22% of the company's issued share capital. Shares in President closed off 0.7% at 6.77p on Monday.

Marina developer and manager Camper & Nicholsons Marina Investments said Non-Executive Director Clive Whiley bought shares in the company on Friday. Whiley bought 200,000 shares at 6.79 pence per share, increasing his total shareholding to 2.2 million shares, or a 1.3% stake in the business. Shares in Camper closed up 19% on Monday at 8.00p.

Capital Drilling said Chief Financial Officer Johan Brümmer bought shares in the company on Friday. Brümmer bought 30,000 shares at 23.9 pence per share. The company did not provide information on his total shareholding. Shares in the drilling services company were untraded on Monday, having last traded at 23.90p.

Athelney Trust said Non-Executive Director Simon Moore bought shares in the company on Friday. Moore bought 20,700 shares for 225.00 pence per share, bringing his total holding to 25,700 shares. Shares in the trust closed up 3.0% on Monday at 228.00p.

U and I Group said Deputy Chief Executive Officer Richard Upton bought 13,250 shares at a price of 225 pence each last Friday. Following this purchase Upton has an interest in 2.8 million shares, or a 2.24% share in the company. Shares in the property investment and development company, formerly known as Development Securities, closed up 1.2% at 228.00p Monday.

Warehousing firm Norish said it has raised GBP5.1 million by agreeing to sell new shares in order to execute a number of investment opportunities. The placing and subscription of 11.4 million new shares to institutional and other investors was priced at 45.0 pence per share. Shares in Norish were untraded on Monday at 45.25p. The new shares stand to represent about 40% of the enlarged company. The placing requires shareholder approval. The company said its directors have applied for 611,445 shares in the placing. It will increase their ownership to the equivalent of 21% of the company.

Novae Group said Chief Underwriting Officer Robert Forster and his spouse sold 40,000 shares in the specialty insurer. The share sale took place in two parts on Thursday last week. Novae said that 30,000 shares were sold at 864 pence, while the remaining 10,000 were sold at 863p. Forster's remaining holding was not provided by Novae. The underwriting boss has been with Novae since 1998 and has been in his current role since February. Shares in Novae closed up 0.1% at 849.97p Monday.
