LONDON (Alliance News) - SOCO International PLC said on Tuesday it has appointed Marianne Daryabegui as non-executive director with effect on March 15.
Daryabegui is currently managing director at French corporate and investment bank Natixis for three months since December.
Daryabegui was once part of SOCO as non-executive director in 2013, leaving in 2016 after her initial contract term expired.
In addition, Non-Executive Director Antonio Monteiro will retire with effect at SOCO's next annual general meeting after ten years in the role since 2009.
"Antonio has been a valued member of the board and highly-regarded colleague since he joined the board of SOCO back in 2009. I thank him for his service to the company and wish him all the very best in his retirement," said Chair Rui de Sousa.
"I am delighted to welcome Marianne to the board. Marianne brings a wealth of experience and expertise in oil and gas and corporate finance, and in the Middle East and North Africa region which will complement and enhance the skills and experience of the full board," Sousa added.
Shares in the oil and gas company were up 2.5% at 70.50 pence on Tuesday.
