SSE PLC - Perth, Scotland-based utility- Appoints Elish Angiolini and Debbie Crosbie as non-executive directors, both of whom will join the board and Nomination Committee on September 1. Following these appointments, the board of SSE will comprise the chair, three executive directors and eight non-executive directors; and will comprise six men and six women. Crosbie is chief executive of high street lender TSB Bank, which is owned by Spain's Banco de Sabadell SA.

GlobalData PLC - London-based data analytics and consulting company - Says following Non Executive Director Elizabeth Pritchard's recent appointment as chief executive officer of Bitvore Corp, it has been mutually agreed that she will step down with immediate effect.

Shaftesbury PLC - London West End landlord - Says Helena Coles will join the board as a non-executive director next Thursday. Coles has 30 years' experience in emerging markets and Asian equity investment, which included co-founding a specialist investment boutique part-owned by State Street Global Advisors. In addition, she has held roles with Fidelity International and the Bank of England, focussing on ESG and banking supervision, respectively.

RM PLC - Abingdon, England-based provider of technology and resources to education sector - Appoints Charles Bligh as a non-executive director with effect from July 2. Bligh is CEO of Restore PLC, which is a supplier to RM of scanning and associated services.

Eight Capital Partners PLC - London-based technology, media, telecoms investor - Appoints David Bull to the board as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Says Bull has extensive international banking and financial services experience, including seven years at Deutsche Bank AG and as chief financial accountant at the BoE.

CyanConnode Holdings PLC - Cambridge-based developer of radio frequency mesh networks - Says Rajiv Kumar has been appointed as managing director and CEO of CyanConnode India, while Ajoy Rajani takes the role of vice chair of CyanConnode India, where he will focus on the strategy and key partnerships of the company. Kumar's experience includes more than a decade working for Schneider Electric.
