LONDON (Alliance News) - Regal Petroleum PLC said on Thursday it was not able to establish a stabilised flow rate during initial testing of an interval within the B-25/26 reservoir at the VAS-10 well.
The VAS-10 well, located to the north-west of the Ukrainian Vasyschevskoye field, was spudded in March and drilled to a depth of 3,380 metres.
One interval, at a depth of between 3,219 to 3,224 metres within the B-25/26 reservoir was perforated and short-term initial flow testing of was undertaken.
During this initial testing, the well flowed gas but was not able to establish a stabilised flow rate, Regal said.
The drilling rig has now been released and is being demobilised from the well site. It is now intended to hook up the well to the gas processing facility and undertake longer-term production testing of the abovementioned reservoir interval.
Depending on the outcome of the testing, this interval will either be put into production or the shallower B-16/17 reservoir will be tested.
The B-16/17 reservoir is currently the main production horizon in the Vasyschevskoye field, Regal said.
Shares in Regal were down 2.9% at 18.40 pence on Thursday.
